Foxie operates as an online platform that enables users to discover, compare, and book outdoor activities, nature adventures, hiking tours, and eco-experiences provided by independent certified hosts and local organizations across Greece.
1. Use of the Website
You agree to use Foxie only for lawful purposes and in accordance with applicable Greek law. You must not use the website in any way that:
- Violates any applicable law or regulation;
- Transmits unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable material;
- Attempts unauthorized access to the platform, servers, or connected databases;
- Interferes with other users’ access to outdoor activity bookings;
- Uses the platform for unauthorized commercial solicitation without written consent.
2. User Accounts
To book outdoor experiences in Greece through Foxie, users may need to create an account. By registering, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date personal information;
- Maintain confidentiality of login credentials;
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Booking and Reservations
Foxie enables users to book nature-related activities including, but not limited to, hiking tours, outdoor culinary activities, and eco-tourism experiences offered by independent providers.
- Bookings may be instantly confirmed or subject to provider approval.
- Users will receive a confirmation email once a reservation is finalized.
- It is your responsibility to review experience details, requirements, and safety guidelines before booking.
By completing a booking, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by the specific terms and conditions set by the activity provider, as displayed in the activity listing. These provider-specific terms form an integral part of your agreement with the provider, and it is your responsibility to review them before confirming your reservation.
Foxie acts solely as an intermediary digital platform facilitating bookings between users and independent activity providers. Foxie is not a party to any agreement between users and providers and does not act as an organizer, agent, employer, or partner of any provider.
4. Payments
Payments for experiences are processed securely through third-party payment providers (such as Stripe), which enable transactions between users and activity providers.
By completing a booking, you acknowledge that:
- payments are made on behalf of the activity provider;
- the provider is the merchant of record for the booked experience;
- Foxie facilitates the transaction but does not act as the seller of the activity;
- payment processing may be subject to the terms, conditions, and fees of the payment provider.
Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise specified. Foxie is not responsible for additional fees charged by banks or payment processors.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Each outdoor activity provider sets its own cancellation policy. The applicable cancellation terms are displayed at the time of booking.
- Users are responsible for reviewing cancellation terms before confirming a reservation.
- Refunds, if applicable, are processed according to the provider’s policy.
- Foxie may charge service or cancellation fees where clearly stated.
6. Affiliate Providers and Third-Party Services
Foxie may collaborate with independent hosts, guides, and outdoor activity providers across Greece. These providers operate independently and are solely responsible for their services.
Foxie is not a party to any agreement between users and providers and does not control, endorse, or guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any activity.
We are not liable for:
- actions, omissions, or negligence of activity providers;
- personal injury, damages, or losses arising from participation in activities;
- disputes between users and providers.
Any claims, issues, or disputes must be resolved directly with the respective activity provider.
7. User-Generated Content
By submitting reviews, photos, comments, or other content related to outdoor experiences, you grant Foxie a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute such content in connection with platform promotion and services.
You retain ownership of your content.
8. Intellectual Property Rights
All website content — including text, branding, logos, graphics, booking system design, and software — is the property of Foxie or its licensors and is protected under Greek and EU intellectual property laws.
Unauthorized reproduction or commercial use is strictly prohibited.
9. Limitation of Liability
Foxie functions as a marketplace platform and shall not be liable for:
- direct or indirect damages resulting from website use;
- inaccuracies in listings provided by activity organizers;
- personal injury, accidents, or losses occurring during participation in outdoor activities.
Users participate in activities at their own risk.
10. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays or service interruptions caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to:
- natural disasters
- extreme weather conditions
- government restrictions
- pandemics
- strikes or infrastructure failures
Affected bookings may be rescheduled or refunded at our discretion and in accordance with provider policies.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Greece and applicable European Union regulations. Any disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Greek courts.
12. Privacy Policy
Your use of the platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, process, and protect your personal data in accordance with GDPR.
13. Provider Terms
If you register or use Foxie as a Listing Owner (“Owner”), you are also subject to the Listing Owners Terms & Conditions.
By accepting these Terms and Conditions and using the platform as a Provider, you acknowledge and agree that the Provider Terms form an integral and binding part of your agreement with Foxie.
14. Modifications to Terms
Foxie reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
