The family of Nikiforos has been producing olives and olive oil for four generations. On their farm between Delphi and Galaxidi, he and the MoKa team take you into the sacred olive grove of Delphi, below Mount Parnassus, in the valley that pilgrims once crossed on their way to the oracle, and introduce you to its ancient, iconic olive tree.
You follow the olive from the tree to the table: how it is harvested by hand, how the best olives become extra virgin olive oil and how the table olives are prepared with a traditional family recipe. You also learn about the Conservolia, the large, fleshy olive of the Amfissa area.
The tour ends with a tasting of the farm products, and you take home a small jar of MoKa olives. An educational experience for all ages.
Price: 26.50 € per adult and 10.60 € per child. Minimum booking: 2 adults.
Bookings are on request: choose your date, time and number of guests and MoKa Honey confirms your visit.
MoKa Honey is a sustainable, eco-friendly apiary and olive farm in Itea, on the northern coast of the Gulf of Corinth. It was founded by Nikiforos Kalafatis, farm owner and olive oil producer, and Ioannis (John) Moraitis, beekeeper with a PhD in agronomy. Their mission is to show visitors why bees are in decline and why the olive groves and the environment around them are worth protecting. MoKa honey has won awards for its taste and quality since 2016, including Great Taste and London Honey Awards.
