On 24-25 October we leave the noise of everyday life behind and escape to the legendary mountain of the gods, Mount Olympus. Get ready for two days of autumn colours, hiking through beautiful beech and Bosnian pine forests, and a unique overnight stay at the welcoming Petrostrouga Refuge (1,940 m).

The highlight of the trip is the magical view from the natural balcony of the refuge towards the Thermaic Gulf, and the rare experience of watching the October full moon rise and light up the mythical slopes of the mountain. Grab your backpack and your best mood and come walk with us on the paths of the gods.

Essential equipment

• Hiking boots or trail running shoes
• Warm clothes (fleece, jacket, thermal layers)
• Water (about 1.5 litres) and snacks
• Waterproof / windproof jacket
• Sunglasses, sunscreen and a hat
• Hiking poles (optional)
• Sleeping bag or sleeping bag liner

Transport details

• Departure Saturday 24/10 at 08:00 from Thessaloniki (pick-up points: Nea Elvetia, Aristotelous, One Salonica)
• Return Sunday 25/10, estimated arrival in Thessaloniki around 19:00 – 20:00
