Foxie is an online marketplace that connects activity providers with customers seeking outdoor experiences, nature activities, and adventure bookings. By registering as a Provider and using the platform, you agree to the following terms.
1. About the Platform
Foxie is an online marketplace that enables activity providers (“Providers”) to list, promote, and offer outdoor activities and experiences to users (“Customers”).
Foxie operates solely as an intermediary digital platform that facilitates bookings and payments and is not the organizer, seller, or provider of any listed activities.
Foxie does not act as an employer, agent, or partner of the Provider.
2. Provider Responsibilities
By listing an activity on Foxie, the Provider confirms that:
- they hold all required licenses, permits, authorizations, and insurance necessary to operate their activities;
- they comply with all applicable local, national, and EU laws and regulations;
- all activity descriptions, prices, schedules, requirements, and other listing details are accurate and kept up to date;
- they are solely responsible for the organization, execution, safety, legality, and quality of their activities;
- they will provide customers with clear and accurate information before and during the activity.
Foxie does not control, endorse, or guarantee the legality, quality, safety, or suitability of any activity listed on the platform.
3. Payments & Stripe Connect
Foxie facilitates online payments on behalf of Providers through third-party payment processors, such as Stripe.
By using the platform, the Provider agrees that:
- payments made by customers are collected on behalf of the Provider;
- the Provider is the merchant of record for their activities;
- the Provider is responsible for issuing any required receipts or invoices to customers;
- the Provider may be required to create and maintain an account with Foxie’s payment partners in order to receive automatic payouts;
- payment processing may be subject to the terms, conditions, verification requirements, and fees of the payment provider.
Foxie does not independently provide payment institution services and relies on third-party payment partners for payment processing and payout functionality.
4. Fees & Commission
Foxie charges a service fee or commission for bookings made through the platform.
The applicable commission rate is agreed between Foxie and the Provider and may be updated with prior notice or in accordance with the commercial agreement between the parties.
Foxie may deduct:
- its commission;
- payment processing fees;
- any other agreed charges
before the remaining balance is allocated to the Provider.
Unless otherwise stated, all fees charged by Foxie relate to the Provider’s use of the platform, including services such as activity listing, booking facilitation, platform support, and promotional visibility.
5. Payouts
Payments are processed through third-party payment providers using automated split payment functionality, allowing funds to be allocated between Foxie and the Provider at the time of each transaction.
Foxie may receive its commission and any applicable fees directly through this process.
The remaining balance is automatically allocated to the Provider and paid out in accordance with the payout schedule, settlement timing, and terms of the payment provider.
The Provider acknowledges and accepts that payout timing, processing, account verification, reserve requirements, and availability of funds depend on the payment provider, such as Stripe, and are outside Foxie’s direct control.
6. Billing & Invoicing
The Provider is solely responsible for issuing receipts or invoices to customers for the activities and services they provide, where required by applicable law.
Foxie may issue invoices to the Provider for platform commissions, service fees, or other agreed charges, unless otherwise agreed between the parties.
The Provider remains responsible for their own tax compliance, accounting obligations, VAT treatment, and any other legal or financial obligations arising from their business activity.
7. Acceptance of Terms
By registering as a Provider on Foxie, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy, which form an integral part of your use of the platform.
If you do not agree with these terms, you should not register as a Provider or use Foxie to list activities.
8. Term & Termination
These Provider Terms remain in effect for as long as the Provider uses the Foxie platform.
Either party may terminate the cooperation at any time, subject to any outstanding obligations, pending transactions, or unpaid fees.
Termination of use of the platform does not affect any rights, obligations, or liabilities that arose before the date of termination.
