Have you ever wanted to know what it is like to breathe underwater? Discover Scuba Diving (PADI) is a quick and easy introduction to scuba diving for people who want to try it but do not yet feel ready for a certification course. It is not a certification course.

Under the supervision of a professional PADI instructor you learn the basic safety guidelines and the skills needed for diving, get familiar with the scuba equipment, practise a few skills in shallow water and then explore the Epanomi wreck.

The Epanomi wreck is reached from a nearby beach, about 30 minutes by car from the dive centre. Maximum depth 10 metres, water temperature around 21°C in summer, moderate visibility.

Minimum age 8. No previous scuba diving experience is needed, but you should be in good physical condition.

If the weather conditions are not suitable, the dive centre may change the dive site.

• Basic scuba equipment: mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device (BCD), dive gauges and tank

When
Start at 08:30 in the summer months and at 09:30 the rest of the year, open all year round. Choose the date you prefer and the dive centre will confirm.

Meeting point
Diving Solutions dive centre, Karavangeli 47, Kalamaria, Thessaloniki. By arrangement, you can also meet directly at the dive site and stay on afterwards for a coffee or a swim.
